When perparing your clothing donations to Poised For Success®, please keep in mind that we are providing clothing for women to wear on a job interview and to wear to work on the job. We have limited financial and people resources and storage space. Therefore, we ask that all donations come to us ready for our clients to wear out the door. We request clothing donations that you would feel comfortable wearing to a job interview or to work your first week on the job. -Current style or timeless design -New, like new or gently used -In season -Clean and pressed -On hangers -Ready to wear Suggested Items for Donation
All clothing donations to Poised For Success are tax deductible, as we have been determined by the IRS to be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Poised For Success is funded 100% through private and corporate donations and grants. We reserve the right to consign used items donated that are not business appropriate or excess in certain sizes. We do not consign any clothing donated by retail stores. Funds received from consignment sales help keep our doors open and the lights on. Thank you for your donation! |

Poised For Success serves women in Chicago and the suburbs including: Lombard, Lisle, Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Winfield, West Chicago, St. Charles and the suburban areas surrounding Chicago. Poised For Success exists to make things possible, but it's your support that makes them happen. |
Poised For Success promotes economic self-sufficiency in women by providing business clothing and referrals for career training to women on financial assistance. Our clients struggle with the emotional roller coaster of being qualified for a position, but have no resume, no interviewing experience, and no clothes for either an interview or to wear once hired. Poised For Success is dedicated to helping that woman – and every woman like her – make her appearance enhance her opportunities, not detract from them. We provide free business clothing to women. We accept donations of gently used women's business clothing and accessories.
